Meet Dr. Katie

Dr. Katie Sleeman is an Otago School of Medicine graduate (MBChB) with a reputation for being a compassionate and thorough doctor. She has worked as a GP in Redcliffs and an urgent care doctor in the city centre.

 

Originally from Nelson, Katie moved to Christchurch as a child and following high school, she started her career in beauty therapy in Merivale after training at the National School of Aesthetics NZ.

 

She then continued her beauty career in London and the Bahamas before returning to NZ where she worked for Dr.Safari Appearance Medicine in Dunedin while also studying medicine at the University of Otago. After graduating, Katie worked in Ireland, Vietnam, and India before returning to New Zealand.

 

Doctor Katie is now following her dream career in cosmetic medicine and she is a training member of The New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine where she is working towards her fellowship.

 

She believes that Cosmetic Medicine is about far more than just looking good and she treats her patients in the same manner she treats her GP patients with their wellbeing at the heart of everything she does. When Katie isn’t working, she likes to spend her free time with her Irish hubby, their  two gorgeous little girls and their big four legged fur ball Huey. ​
